Couponing and Freebies 101
First Step you need to do is get some coupons!
- Buy a paper every Sunday to get the newest coupons you might not need them now but in store deals change every week and those coupons are still good.
- Even ask friend or family for any they don't use out of their papers.
- Go to websites like coupons.com and print coupons from the comfort of your home
- Want someone else to do the clipping or even send you the Sunday inserts? Find yourself a clipping service on the internet.
- Sometimes you can even find them in your local stores such as Walgreens they have a monthly store coupon booklet
- A coupon Binder- get inserts such as for baseball cards and organize them by category. Make such you pay attention to expiration dates you may want to sort it from the soonest expiration date to the longest but, that's up to you.
- Envelopes- that's how I started out actually put them all in one envelope or even have a envelope for each category
- Check if they double coupons my area doesn't but your's just might
- Check if they accept internet printed coupons some don't
- Even see if they have loyalty programs you can sign up for a lot do. Just like CVS, Walgreens, Winndixie, Kmart, and more make sure you're apart of it.
- A great one to see do they accept competitor coupons? Certain stores do look and make sure so you can save more.
- Pick up the store ads for the week. Most of them tend to be in your newspaper if you buy one.
- Next see if you can find any sales going on that you can match up to coupons in your binder. You can even check my website I'll be doing matchups for some stores for you.
- Now make a list see what deals you can come up with on things you need.
- If your store has rewards such as if you buy this you get so much back see if you can use that to make your bill lower don't be afraid to do more than one transaction.
- Sales like 10 for 10 you don't have to buy ten to get the sale
- Be patient and polite to your cashiers, no reason to be nasty.
- Don't clear shelves! Leave some for others, sales happen again. Now if there's only a couple left then ok but, don't go in and wipe them out of a full stock.
- Get more than you need? More than you'll use? Donate! I do as often as possible. You're getting it free or almost so share with those not as fortunate.
- Pay attention to limits on sales
- Shop early you may not be the only couponer in your area.
- Watch expiration dates.
- Check your receipts before you leave.
- Watch the screen, make sure everything rings up right. Computers aren't perfect.
- Watch cashiers they may accidentally miss a coupon. Things happen, just kindly let them know.
- Start out slowly don't overload yourself, it won't work.
- If a super deal comes up or even if it's free buy more than what you need at that time. Get enough to last you awhile till another great sale happens on the product.
- Gage how much you use regularly of any item to make sure you don't over do it from the adrenaline rush ;) LOL
